Kenneth E. Brown
Mr. Brown is associated with the law firm of Nichols Zauzig Sandler P.C. in Woodbridge, Virginia. His concentration is commercial banking, real estate and business ventures.
Mr. Brown’s primary practice, since 1984, has been devoted to the representation of billion dollar financial institutions in connection with the management of various financial products and commercial contract services, including but not limited to: (i) drafting and reviewing loan documentation; (ii) negotiating loan documents on behalf of banks with developer's attorneys; (iii) reviewing selective underwriting documentation, including title commitments, title exceptions, plats, proffers and site plans; (iv) reviewing financial underwriting decisions of management and drafting correlative documentation, (v) overseeing internal bank meetings with financial directors and staff managers; (vi) acting as lead negotiator in the resolution of problem assets, and documentation; and reviewing merger or "spin off" documentation within the dynamic financial market arena. He is proficient in using e-mail systems and has knowledge of government accounting/contract requirements, FAR requirements and Management Information Systems.
Mr. Brown received his B.S. Degree from Syracuse University in 1975, Magna Cum Laude, and his M.B.A. Degree from the College of William and Mary in 1977. He then completed a three year independent study of law with a Commonwealth approved attorney and was admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia in 1980 and the District of Columbia in 1989. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces and the United States Court of Federal Claims. In addition, Mr. Brown is an Adjunct Professor at Northern Virginia Community College and is a member of the American Bar Association and Prince William County Bar Association. |
