Ms. Sandler is a principal in the firm of Nichols Zauzig Sandler P.C. in the Woodbridge and McLean, Virginia offices, and limits her practice to family law. A graduate of the University of Kentucky and University of Kentucky College of Law, Ms. Sandler is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Kentucky (1981), the U.S. Supreme Court (1985), the Commonwealth of Virginia (1986), and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of Virginia (1990).

Ms. Sandler is a Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (IAML); a fellow and member of the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML); past Vice-Chair of the Family Law Section of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association; past member and officer of the Board of Governors, Family Law Section, Virginia State Bar; and served 2 terms, including past Vice-Chair on the Virginia State Bar’s 5 th District Disciplinary Committee. Ms. Sandler is also active in committee work for numerous state and local bar organizations, and she was the founding President of the Prince William County Bar Foundation.

Having authored many articles on family law matters for the Virginia State Bar and Virginia Trial Lawyers Association publications, Ms. Sandler regularly participates as a panelist and moderator for Continuing Legal Education seminars on domestic relations and ethics. She was selected and served as a Judge for the Spring Invitational Moot Court Competition (William & Mary Law School) in Spring 2004.

Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Sandler worked on the House side of Capitol Hill and subsequently was employed in the private sector for a number of years as a lobbyist and federal legislative analyst. During college basketball season, Ms. Sandler passionately supports the University of Kentucky "Wildcats."
